The symposium on copyright protection of national standards was organized recently by China Quality and Standards Publishing & Media Co., Ltd. in Beijing to enhance the copyright protection of national standards and facilitate orderly promotion and application of standards.

Participating experts discussed effective ways to enhance copyright protection of standards, and introduced the new demands in the globalized world, typical cases, the current situation of piracy and infringement of standards in China and problems encountered when defending legal rights of standards.

According to the representative from Standards Innovative Development Department of SAMR, related parties shall improve legal system and policies of standard copyright, find innovative means of standard services to promote application and create a sound environment for standard copyright protection with the collaboration of the whole society.
