The Standards Innovation Integration and Development Conference—Sino-German Standardization Cooperation and Exchanges Event was held on November 7, in Taicang, Suzhou city, East China’s Jiangsu province.
The event was attended by Guo Chenguang, Deputy Director-General of Standards Innovative Management Department of SAMR, Zhang Xiaogang, former ISO President and President of the Chinese Society for Metals, Sun Hubing, Deputy Director-General of Jiangsu Administration for Market Regulation, Andreas Loof, Director of Sales of VDE (Greater China), and relevant local authorities.
With the deepening of Sino-German economic and trade relations, the bilateral cooperation in the standardization field reveals a trend of multilevel management and integrated development, said Guo Chenguang in his address. The conference will further smooth the channels of Sino-German cooperation and exchanges in Suzhou, which will become a platform gathering international standardization forces. More cooperation consensuses are expected to be reached in fields such as intelligent manufacturing and networked automobile.
The inauguration of the Sino-German Standardization Cooperation Suzhou Innovation Center (SGC) and Zhang Xiaogang Suzhou Standards International Expert Studio was held during the event. Taicang workstation was established by IEC Promotion Center (Nanjing) and SGC, which will focus on standardization planning, technical organization construction, standards development, international exchanges, talent cultivation, etc.
Also, VDE, the Taicang Roundtable (TRT), and SGC signed a cooperation agreement on the standardization work of energy transformation, Industry 4.0, intelligent transportation, and so on.
