On November 4, the 2024 International Standardization Excellent Case Awarding Ceremony and the Exchange Meeting were held in Southeast China’s Zhejiang province.
Organized by the Zhejiang Society for Measurement and Standardization (ZSMS), the event aimed to share the best practices of international standardization, promote the adoption and application of international standards across various industries, and discuss how to leverage standardization to foster technological innovation and drive industrial development. It was attended by representatives from CYBSTAR Technology Co., Ltd., the Zhejiang Lab, Hangzhou Hyperchain Technology Co., Ltd., China Jiliang University, International Center on Small Hydro Power (ICSHP), Cosin Solar Technology Co., Ltd., and the Second Institute of Oceanography, affiliated to the Ministry of Natural Resources.
It took three months to collect cases and gather experts for evaluation. The seven selected cases were representative and innovative, and the corresponding enterprises and institutions were awarded by Song Mingshun, the former President of China Jiliang University, President of ZSMS, and Chair of ISO/TC 321.
During the meeting, participating organizations presented their innovative cases in promoting international standardization, including successful cases of participating in the development of ISO and IEC international standards. These cases fully demonstrated the innovation capabilities and impressive practices of the enterprises. Experts further engaged in discussions on the challenges of standards development, industry trends, and future prospects, reaching a consensus on how to build a more effective cooperation mechanism for international standardization.
