The IEC General Meeting is the organization’s most important annual event. Hosted each year by a different national committee, it brings together around 3,000 experts, delegates, and decision-makers from across the global electrotechnical community. Throughout the week, participants engage in technical committee sessions, governance meetings, and strategic dialogues. In 2026, the General Meeting will take place in Hamburg, hosted by the DKE as the organizing national committee.
